I take my role as a champion for Calgary seriously. I’m fighting for you—whether it’s advocating for reliable funding from other orders of government, pushing for safer streets, or protecting recreation programs and infrastructure.

Calgary is not just a city of strength, opportunity, and ambition—it is the economic engine of Alberta and a critical driver for Canada’s prosperity. As we experience unprecedented growth, welcoming thousands of new residents and expanding our industries, the responsibility to support this growth cannot rest on Calgary alone. Yet we continue to face downloading from the province and the federal government—additional pressures put onto the city without funding to match.

I’m committed to standing up for Calgary, to the province and the federal government and ensuring we get the funding we need to fuel our growing city. It’s a fight for Alberta and for Canada. Because when Calgary thrives, the whole country benefits. And that’s why I will continue to push for the support we need to ensure our city remains a place of opportunity and innovation.

I will rise above the noise and focus on the issues that matter to you. Working to create a Calgary that we know we can be—a city that leads, inspires, and delivers for its people and its country. Because Calgary isn’t just a great city—it’s a city with no limits to what we can achieve.

Meet Jyoti

Jyoti Gondek grew up in small towns, embracing prairie life—playing basketball, curling with jam cans, and skating on frozen ponds. These early experiences shaped her sense of community connection while teaching resilience and the value of inclusion.

Guided by her parents’ teachings of selfless service, Jyoti developed a lifelong commitment to giving back and creating positive change. Her professional journey took her from leadership roles at Credit Union Central and Greyhound Canada to founding her own business, where she supported Calgary’s growth during a period of rapid economic and regulatory shifts.
